Musings of an intellectual

Does anyone else think about trees? I’m usually pretty normal about this, but whenever my brain gets too quiet, I can’t get this idea out of my head. Keep in mind that I’m not at all interested in ecology or STEM at all for that matter. I just can’t stop thinking about it. Trees are alive; we are companions creatures that give each other air. I saw something saying that trees have a heart beat but it’s just so much slower than ours. I don’t understand a lot of the science of it, but with what I’ve heard about Mycorrhizal relationships, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were more alive than I considered. Since I see them in the ground, I don’t register them as alive. I have trees in the same folder in my brain that I have mountains, and those aren’t alive. Bark is their skin, Wood is their meat, and limbs are their… limbs; I just find it odd that they evolved not to move or make more complex organs. Most creatures need electricity to function, so I used to tink it weird that they (trees) made themselves such a fire hazard- Until I considered how flammable we are when we (humans) get struck by lightning. I could go on for way longer, but I think you get the idea. Life is weird.
